Greens and Mandarin Salad


How to make

For dressing put in blender the sugar, salt, mustard, vinegar. Mix. Add slowly the onion juice and salad oil. Stir in the poppy seed. Pour over lettuce. Enjoy!



  • Use 2 types of lettuce (include red leaf for color and a leafy green)

  • 2 Avocados, sliced in long slivers

  • 2 pkgs of slivered almonds (toast until light brown)

  • 1 red onion, sliced very thin. 

  • 2 cans (15 oz. size) drained mandarin oranges

Poppy Seed Dressing:

  • 3/4 c sugar

  • 1 c salad oil

  • 1 1/2 tsp onion juice

  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard

  • 1/3 c vinegar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 1/2 tsp poppy seed
